We see the 2020 with no addition of the Marsanne grape. This, unlike the 2019, is a beautiful shade of amber in the glass… real classy. Delicate citrus fruits, a little salty finish... this is better if you give it a little space outside of the fridge... we love it.
Grapes are handpicked and pressed directly. Vinification in stainless steel vat. Early bottling. no sulphite added.
Le Casot De Mailloles is one of the smallest vineyards in Banyuls, and was made famous by Alain Castex and Ghislaine Magnier, who first bought the four-hectare plot in the 1990s, producing the wine in an old Citroen garage. The honour has now been passed on by them to Jordi Perez, with 2015 being the first vintage he produced himself.
