This is the second bottling of the same vintage which has done wonders for this Melon de Bourgogne. Because Jacques has left the wine in vat for an extra 6 months or so, the added time with the lees adds structure and huge mouthfeel. Unlike most wines from this grape as it goes through malolactic fermentation and is therefore much rounder and richer, but still fresh. Much more delicious with oysters than 99% of Muscadet.
Great to have at arms reach/in the fridge for emergencies!
