A first for Julie and only her 2nd ever negociant wine where she has helped out a friend in buying the grapes.
a great gateway into Julie’s wines, an affordable deep & broody gamay that’s had the JB treatment. Late harvest here means very ripe fruits and a dark cosy hug going into the winter months.
Last year’s was a particularly warm, dry vintage in these parts, a story that is becoming all too common and one that threatens the very identity of the wines we love from this part of the world. The plus was that Julie was able to harvest plenty of ripe, healthy grapes and fill her cellar for the first time in many years.
