Superb moscato. Straw yellow, heady in orange spritz - always bought when we have this open in the shop. Ezio is renowned for his chalky mineral stamp.
A direct press of Moscato aged for around a year in old botti
When it comes to Moscato, few do it better than Ezio Cerruti, who produces iterations of the grape that run the gamut from sparkling to one of Italy’s great passito wines and seemingly everything in between.
A native of the Langhe, from his beautiful vineyards planted on steep slopes outside the village of Castiglione Tinella, Ezio is a quiet, humble vignaiolo who largely flies under the radar. His wines offer tremendous value and with their gentle aromas of fruit and flowers, clean mineral notes from the region’s chalky limestone soils, they bring some much needed sunshine.
